A bunch of talented acts brought church to the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ over the weekend for McDonald’s Gospelfest, marking the 32nd anniversary of the NJ-NY-CT tri-state event themed, “When the Choir Meets the Quartet.”
Prior to the concert that kicked off Saturday evening featuring Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Ricky Dillard, Faith Evans, Cissy Houston and more, was a talent competition that included music, comedy and praise dancing for and by all ages. Inspirational and wellness vendors were also featured in the lobby as a part of the gathering.
McDonald’s Gospelfest was created back in 1983 to help raise money for education in local communities and has since awarded millions of dollars in scholarships.
