R&B singer Siergio is gearing up to debut his highly-anticipated LP, Songs for the Jeep, due April 12. Fitting for the occasion, he celebrated the upcoming project yesterday (April 4) with an album release party at BQE Lounge in Atlanta where he currently resides.
Originally from Chicago, Siergio was introduced to a variety of music at a young age. Some of that included gospel. In fact, it was his admiration for Kirk Franklin that played a part in his first-ever performance where he and others recognized music was something he could pursue.
Below, Siergio takes a trip down memory lane in an exclusive interview, sharing a few different stories that explain how he was led to his current path and how his new 11-track project based on relationships and other things men and women encounter on the daily brings it all full circle.
