The Made Man 2017 Honorees Offer Important Advice To Young Men About Community [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO]

This time last week, dozens of men in Philadelphia were recognized at “The Made Man” Honoree Reception for their leadership, achievements and social consciousness – all a part of an 11-city tour shining light on more than 50 African Americans making a difference in their communities.

“This initiative was founded to celebrate and brand African American men in a positive light, whom continue to rise by upholding the principle of giving back and empowerment of the future made man as a lifestyle and responsibility,” The Made Man founder, Ky Dele, said.

With the support of the Philadelphia 76ers and Comcast, over 300 people joined the honorees at a reception and suit drive at the Comcast Center in Philly (September 8) that, since launching, has collected over 13,000 suits. 

In the video below, a few men selected as “made men” in the city including TV/radio show host Quincy Harris, Philadelphia Councilman Kenyatta Johnson, DJ Aktive, Charlie Mac, Kenny Gamble and more share their experience from the event and reflect on their contributions to their community, also offering advice to men coming up in exclusive interviews with GospelGoodies guest correspondent, BriTTany Delane.
