Alicia Keys Releases ‘We Gotta Pray’ Video in Wake of Civil Protests

Alicia Keys pleads for peace and unity in “We Gotta Pray,” a call-to-action song she released through video following a grand jury’s decision to not indict the NYPD officer who killed Eric Garner.

Attorney General Eric Holder later announced that the U.S. Justice Department would launch a civil rights investigation, but protests have still ensued around the City and across the nation.

In all the protests and demonstrations, New York native Keys’ suggestion is simple: Lift your head and open your heart.
