“All I Need Is You” was written by Erica Campbell and her producer husband Warren prior to the release of her first solo project, Help – an album set for part 2.0 come March 31.
In explaining how the original song was derived in a behind-the-scenes video for the remix with Jonathan McReynolds, Erica said, “[It] was written while I was driving down the 110 freeway [in Los Angeles]. I was pretty stressed out and I had whole lot of questions. And, it was a pretty doubtful day.”
She went on to explain how right after getting off the freeway, she walked in her house to tell Warryn she had a song she wanted to sing for him, and that the humming we hear on the original track was taken from that moment.
