The Polk Duo, made up of Kasey and Myranda Polk, just hit music outlets with their third album they call Wonderful.
Think… soulful, cool and Christian.
The married vocal and guitar duo tap into an honest sound reminiscent of the 90s and early 2000s jazz, rock, hip-hop and R&B scene, adding a modern twist unique to their chemistry on the new project.
“Initially, we tried to figure out where we fit in as Christian artists,” The Polk Duo said. “We grew to recognize the power of our unique gifts and diverse backgrounds. Instead of fitting in, we decided to do the opposite. We challenged ourselves to get creative, funky and to simply create the music we love.”
In addition to speaking positivity and grace, part of what they love includes tons of instruments.
Kasey and Myranda Polk met in the North Carolina A&T State University jazz band. They both hold degrees in music.
