Tasha Cobbs, Erica Campbell & More Perform at Hezekiah Walker’s Every Praise Grateful Concert

To just call Hezekiah Walker’s Every Praise Grateful tour stop at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark last night a “gospel concert” is an understatement. It was church.

There was shouting and there were tears in a room full of what transitioned into a worship session as soon as the lights dimmed, perfectly aligning with the title of the night. Gratefulness and healing were highlighted most as performers sang about appreciating God even amidst struggle and having faith in His power to see you through all things.

The WLIB-hosted event was emceed by New York City radio personality, Liz Black, and featured performances by JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise, DeWayne Woods, Vashawn Mitchell, Tasha Cobbs, Erica Campbell, and of course, the tri-state’s Hezekiah Walker & Love Fellowship Crusade Choir.

They covered everything from their own hits like “Souled Out,” “Yesterday,” For Your Glory,” “Turning Around for Me” and “Incredible Praise” to old school classics like “There is Power in the Blood (Of the Lamb)” and “It is Well with My Soul.”
