Gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated mixtape, The Waiting Room, Trip Lee has released its second single “Billion Years” featuring Taylor Hill. The new music comes after Lee’s Rise project that debuted on Billboard rap charts at no. 2 in 2014.
This next phase of speaking his truth includes stories of life and death, social and political awareness, relatable ups and downs and more while putting emphasis on our waiting phases. That is, patience versus contentment. Maybe even living in the moment versus wallowing in what isn’t.
“This earth is a place where all of our longings just won’t come true,” he says. “We’re always waiting for things to be made right.”
