If you didn’t see the title in the first five seconds, you’d never know Erica Campbell was about to break out in an untraditional gospel song. You realize it about 10 seconds in, but at that point, you’re probably chuckling.
Despite the backlash she received over “I Luh God,” Campbell released a video to the single that over the past few months has been deemed “trap gospel.” It’s a simple and fresh video that features the singer in different playful fits plus a cameo from her sister Tina.
The message? She loves God! And there’s no doubt she’ll help others get to know Him with the style of the song. It subconsciously reiterates, “come as you are.”
