Taraji P. Henson Takes Saturday Night Live to Church

Taraji P. Henson, best known for her role on Baby Boy (2001) and currently praised for her role as Cookie on Empire, hosted Saturday Night Live last week, becoming the 10th woman of color in history to host SNL in its 40-year history.

Backed by a bunch of SNL cast members, Henson opened the show with a comical gospel-rooted song about “making it” in the entertainment business. They all sang about what they probably would’ve been doing had they not been blessed enough to pursue careers they used to dream about.
