CeCe Winans hit The Real earlier this week to talk about her new album, Let Them Fall In Love. In between music talk and a performance, she also shared her reaction to last week’s Grammy mix-up where her image was used in a presentation for Shirley Caesar’s lifetime achievement award.
“That clip that they showed was actually me, Shirley and Whitney [Houston] singing a song together – and no excuses on the Grammys’ part – they had my part on there instead of hers,” she said. “There is no one like Shirley Caesar. She is amazing and I congratulate her, but I felt horrible about that.”
Luckily, both parties were able to laugh it off.
