Tyscot Music & Entertainment co-founder and gospel recording artist Dr. Leonard Scott donated the proceeds from his new, 13th album release concert (for Greatness of Your Love) to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. His efforts were spawned from his daughter’s diagnosis of leukemia in 2013.
“The type of leukemia Melanie had was incurable short of a direct miracle from God or a bone marrow transplant,” he said in a press release. “There was no match for her in the bone marrow registry, but due to research a new technique was discovered using an umbilical cord from a new born baby and now Melanie is well again. I believe other new cures for blood cancers can be discovered and someone else’s life can be saved.”
Scott recently visited the LLS’ Indianapolis office to present the Director of Special Events with a check to help raise money for curing blood cancers.
