In what he called the most important thing he’s ever done in his career, Drake donated almost $1 million to deserving families, students, non-profits, shoppers and more around Miami.
The giving-spree was captured in the rapper’s music video for “God’s Plan,” which opened up with a disclaimer that read, “The budget for the video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label…”
Some of his good deeds included:
- A$50,000 scholarship to a University of Miami student
- Uniforms and toys for students
- Passing around cash
- Shopping sprees in the grocery store and mall
While most of us can’t replicate the monetary action, Drake challenged his fans to “bring another human being some joy” by just being nice to each other in any way we can.
