Hot 97 Launches Christian Hip-Hop Show

New York’s Hot 97 has launched a new, Christian hip-hop radio show called “Street Glory.”

This is a big deal! Not only because Hot 97 is a legendary station, but because of the mass getting ready to be exposed to God through that legendary station – one of the most reputable platforms in entertainment.

“Street Glory” will be hosted by Bronx, NY native DJ Tony Tone.

All Access reports, “DJ Tony Tone, aka The Blessed Kept Secret, was born and raised in the South Bronx. Many people in Tony’s early life influenced his passion of music. One person who stands out is his cousin, DISCO BEE, who was a member of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five. Watching Disco Bee work allowed him to see music in a different way. While Tony enjoyed listening and watching the technique of playing music, as time passed, he realized how much he wanted to become a DJ.

DJ Tony Tone belongs to the Heavy Hitters DJ crew, where he serves as the only DJ with [Hot 97] that plays Christian hip-hop. As gospel entertainment continues to evolve, Tony focuses on providing his listeners the message of faith, in hopes of reaching them through the power of GOD and music.”

We expect “Street Glory” to be exactly what it sounds like (street = hiphop, glory = greatness of God). Catch it every Sunday, 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. on Hot 97.
