Lecrae wins ‘Best Gospel Artist,’ Donnie McClurkin pays tribute to Andrae Crouch at BET Awards

The 2015 BET awards boosted a lot of entertaining acts including the reunion of Bad Boy Entertainment and resurgence of Janet Jackson, but in addition to the many surprises of the night was a performance by Donnie McClurkin.

The award-winning singer paid tribute to Andrae Crouch, who passed earlier this year, by performing “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power” after revealing that Crouch had been his “gospel hero” since he was 9-years-old.

Lecrae also left a lasting impression winning Best Gospel Artist this year.
