Maurette Brown Clark took to Instagram this week to share some exciting news; she’ll be joining Radio One as the new midday host of “The Sound of Praise.”

“The tagline for the show is ‘Inspiration That Sticks and a Praise That Stays,’” she told Philly Tribune. “A lot of people may see me singing, but I am a praiser. I will find something to thank God for, whether things are going good or bad in life.”

The Sound of Praise with Maurette Brown Clark, which debuts in August, will be simulcasted at both Praise Baltimore (106.1 FM) and Praise Philly (103.9 FM), completing the all-star lineup of Erica Campbell in the morning, Willie Moore Jr. during the afternoon drive and Darlene McCoy at night. Catch her weekdays 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

“I want to encourage my listeners to praise and worship. I want them to feel inspired and comforted. I know what God can do and what he has done for me. I want to be the light to encourage somebody else,” she said. “By the time the five-hour period on the radio ends, I want my listeners love for God to shine even brighter.”

Congrats, Maurette!
