There’s no denying the spirit when it hits you. Snoop Dogg was moved to share some good news (literally) and the people are here for it!
During a recent interview with Beats 1 Radio, the D-O-double G said he’s working on a gospel album.
“It’s always been on my heart. I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business or doing this or doing that,” he said. “I just felt like it’s been on my heart too long. I need to do it now.”
Uncle Snoop is definitely no stranger to the Word, often acknowledging God and sharing his gospel favs on social media. Back in November, he even got a nod from Pastor Shirley Caesar after remixing the #UNameItChallenge referencing her “beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes” menu that went viral. He’s actually already in talks for features by a few soulful singers including Faith Evans and Charlie Wilson, both of whom have dabbled in Christian tunes.
“I’m gonna make it all the way right. It’s gonna feel good,” Snoop said about his forthcoming gospel album.
Let the church say amen…
