What better way to celebrate decades of business than putting on display a collection of what shaped it?
Tyscot Records is taking that route on September 23 to celebrate its 40-year anniversary. That is, Anthony Brown and group TherAPy, the Rance Allen Group, Ruth La’Ontra, the label founder/singer Dr. Leonard S. Scott and more.
The previous mentioned are all set to perform at what Tyscot’s calling a “Gospel Music Explosion” in its hometown of Indianapolis.
Earlier this year the label released a 15-track anthology album titled Feel Good! 40 Years of Life Changing Music, which features some of its artists’ biggest hits over the years – the Kirk Franklin & Babyface-produced “Holy One” track performed by Trinity Temple Full Gospel Mass Choir, “Jesus Is Real” by John P. Key, “Fire” by Deitrick Haddon, “”Closest Friend” by the Rance Allen Group, “Better” by Casey J, and the list goes on.
