In this week’s meet-them-where-they-are story, Eagles wide receiver Marcus D. Johnson was baptized on the road. It happened in a hotel pool in Charlotte where the team traveled for a game against the North Carolina Panthers.
The NFL player shared the news on Twitter this week (October 12), noting he’s been “cleansed and reborn in Jesus’ name.”
In the photo below, Johnson can be seen in the makeshift baptism pool surrounded by his Eagles teammates who are holding hands. “Corporate worship is a beautiful thing,” he wrote.
It really is beautiful. Congrats, Marcus D. Johnson! Keep putting God first.
